For the first time in a few years I have rent and bills and stuff again. It is weird working just to break even instead of bankrolling my income like I'm used to.

The Delaware Memorial Bridge reminds me of a recurring dream I used to have about driving up and over a really steep scary bridge.

(But in real life the worst part is the toll.)

Maybe I'm too old to have a daily thought. My days aren't that interesting anymore.

I'm starting to want to become a cop. Mostly to understand why they're such ass holes.

It's parents' day today. Not sure why teachers are nervous, it just seems fun.

Finally biked to school. It felt pretty good.

The old Maxim still gets pretty good fuel economy considering it runs cold and half-choked halfway to school each morning. And leaks oil like a sieve.

The hill I biked today is signed as 12% grade. Made me wonder how I could calculate that on my own. I liked the advice from an internet forum:

Ask that guy in your cycling club who talks about all the grades of all the hills and divide his answer by 2.

First meet was pretty successful.

Teaching two sections is interesting. The second section definitely gets the more polished experience.

First day of classes was successful. And punctuated with cross country practice in the rain.

Today is the second time in two months that I've woken up to the sound of construction literally less than 4m from my head.

Since I've switched search engines, I should stop talking about "googling" things. But, "Duck it," sounds like cursing.

When I woke up this morning my phone screen was cracked. When I went to bed last night it wasn't. Must have gone on some wild bender.

My side muscles are actually sore from all the driving recently.

The truck climbs hills with ease now that it isn't loaded down with my motorcycle.

The black eye from wrestling volleyball finally healed. And luckily it didn't swell back up when I hit myself in the face with an AC adapter yesterday.

That was a lot of traveling in two days.

It's finally time to replace my front bicycle tire. It carried me faithfully on my Michigan trip, my cross country trip, my DC trip, a year of commuting to the university, and many summer rides.
